Homework #7
What: Packaging (corn starch box)
Function: It informs the consumer what the product is (and its details)
Where: Pantry
Quality: All the information on the packaging is easy to read. The use of only few colors make it simple and not overwhelming to the viewer. The image of a corn (and a corn lady) goes well with the content of the product.
Style: Victorian- The feature that stood out as Victorian is the use of banners. The product's name (in a traditional style of font) is in a banner as well as the "Over 100 Years of Quality" at the top. Even the woman's face looks like one of the women in Victorian posters.
What attracted me: I was attracted at how old-fashioned it looked and how that appealed to me as being a trustworthy company/product. The banners also stood out as the Victorian style, as well as the old-fashioned font for "Corn Starch."
